Main Street Pizza began in 1983 in Ovid, Michigan. From 1983-1991, several Main Street Pizzas began popping up all-around mid-Michigan giving us over 30 YEARS of EXPERIENCE making pizza and subs.

We pride ourselves with having the BEST pizza around. We always start with freshly made dough, sauce, and toppings, all which are prepared on-site. FRESH not frozen. We then bake our pizzas in brick ovens, which is the old style way, producing a very tasty pizza. Main Street Pizza has 25-50% more toppings and cheese on each pizza than the national chains. You can be assured that you are getting a quality product that will satisfy your taste buds at a very reasonable price.

When Main Street Pizza first opened, the menu consisted of 4 subs; turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, roast beef and cheese and a pizza sub; 1 specialty pizza (Street Special) and the following pizza toppings: Pepperoni, Ham, Ground Beef, Sausage, Mushrooms, Onions, Green Peppers, Black Olives, Green Olives and Banana Peppers. With the help of employees and customer requests/suggestions throughout the years, the following toppings were added: Chicken, Bacon, Pineapple, Jalepeno’s, and we now offers 8 Specialty Pizzas, salads and wings.

One of our local customers suggested adding Bread Stix to the menu (thanks George). An employee suggested topping the Bread Stix off with mozzarella cheese, creating our Mozz Stix, and we can’t forget about the Cheezo sub which is available in Fowler ONLY. This sub was created by one of our regular customers and now is ordered by many.

The most requested pizza topping combination is pepperoni, ham and mushrooms. The most requested specialty pizza is the Street Special. If you are a regular, chances are our staff will know who you are with what you ordered. Or if our staff recognizes your voice on the phone, most likely they will be able to predict what you are going to order.
